ABOUT ME
Ashley Kotera Bowen (born August 3, 1989) is an American poet, author, actress, and musician. Born and raised in Alabama, she developed a strong sense of responsibility and ambition from an early age.
At 18, Bowen enlisted in the United States Navy, serving four years on active duty aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70). During her military tenure, she participated in several deployments, including a humanitarian mission to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake.
Following her military service, Bowen pursued her passion for writing, publishing a poetry collection titled Behind A Poet’s Eyes in 2015. This work provides readers with insight into her personal experiences and perspectives.
Transitioning into the entertainment industry, Bowen began her acting career as a background extra on the television series MacGyver. During this experience, she fell in love with TV and film, which inspired her to fully pursue an acting career. She furthered her education by studying Digital Film and Video Production at the Art Institute of Atlanta.
